E-finance’s digital payments arm Khales provides services at Misr Petroleum stations

Misr Petroleum’s gas stations will be offering all financial services of Khales, the digital payments arm of e-Finance, including cash collection and withdrawal as well as e-purchases.

The services offered by Khales inside Misr Petroleum stations include online collection and purchasing through points of sale (PoS), which can be done using all kinds of e-payment cards. The services also include cash out through PoS machines in all stations.

Mohamed Shaaban Abdel Ati, the Chairperson of Misr Petroleum, signed a cooperation protocol with Ibrahim Sarhan, the Chairperson of e-finance, within the framework of the national plan to support digital transformation and enhance the quality of the services provided to citizens as well as facilitate making payments electronically.

Shaaban expressed his happiness with the cooperation with e-Finance as a leading company in its field. This agreement is expected to enhance the experience of the customers of Misr Petroleum across the country.

For his part, Sarhan said that he has great confidence in Misr Petroleum and its team, and expects fruitful cooperation that supports the process of digital transformation.

This comes within the framework of the role Khales plays in terms of developing electronic banking services to allow the use of PoS machines to carry out cash withdrawal transactions.

This role will be greatly highlighted as the company begins to offer its services across the 1,200 stations owned by Misr Petroleum. This will give citizens various options and alternatives in case other traditional withdrawal methods were not available according to the terms and conditions set by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and international institutions.

Khales, a subsidiary of e-Finance, has a high-tech infrastructure and a widespread network across the country. Both are secured per national standards for public services and data security. They ensure transparency so all transactions are carried out securely and safely.

Khales also handles the management of PoS machines in an attempt to facilitate transactions between sellers and buyers under the systems of international institutions, including Visa Card, Master Card, and Meeza.
