SmarDTV and Kineton have joined forces to produce a new HbbTV OpApp, which was demonstrated at the HbbTV Symposium in Paris this week.
SmarDTV Global’s CAM works with a dedicated OpApp that has been customised by Kineton.
The OppApp gives pay-TV operators the means to authenticate their subscribers who can then go on to watch live and on demand content from both broadcast and broadband-delivered.
The HbbTV OpApp is automatically launched by the CAM with no need to install anything further. It also comes with full operator branding.
Kineton is one of the six worldwide test centres officially recognised by the HbbTV Association and has handled the development and validation of a number of interactive TV applications.
