Nordic TV platform Allente has entered into a new distribution agreement with Amazon Prime Video.
The company, formed from the merger of Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer, says the Amazon Prime Video app will also be available on its new set-top box, which launches in early 2022.
The streamer is known for its Amazon Originals including Coming 2 America, The Grand Tour, The Tomorrow War, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse and The Boys.
Mahmoud Mustapha, Chief Commercial Officer at Allente, said: “By giving our customers easy access to all the content on Amazon Prime Video, we are further broadening our extensive portfolio of linear channels and streaming services. We know that Amazon Prime Video is hugely appreciated by our customers throughout the Nordic region, and are proud to announce this first step in our partnership with Amazon.”
