At GITEX Technology Week 2021, Cisco and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading curator of magnetic experiences, announced their partnership to create enhance Yas Island’s smartphone application, which will enhance visitor experiences at the island’s attractions.
The enhanced application will be engineered to deliver a seamless, customized user experience, providing visitors with new ways to discover attractions, places of interest and activities at the state-of-the-art theme park. Cisco is working alongside Miral to create a cutting-edge solution which recognizes, analyzes and suggests actions to visitors in real-time as they explore the site.
With the smartphone application downloaded, users will be able to receive reminder notifications for live shows and relevant offers with greater speed and ease, based on location and preferences

Cisco’s partnership with Miral builds upon an earlier Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2017 to enhance Yas Island’s digital offering, through the use of intelligent networks and best practice within the IoT space. Within this collaboration, Cisco’s wireless network infrastructure and Cisco DNA Spaces solutions were deployed, providing Miral with rich location-based services – creating a crucial foundation for the application now being enhanced.
Cisco has also worked with Miral as part of its Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program – an initiative which sees Cisco work alongside the UAE’s national leadership, industry and academia to support the digital transformation agenda and grow GDP. Within this domain, Cisco is now a strategic digitization partner, joining in Miral’s mission to create smart, intuitive and memorable experiences across its portfolio of sports, entertainment and leisure destinations.
