Polish telco Play has launched gigabit fibre services for customers in selected areas. The operator is using infrastructure deployed by wholesale provider Fiberhost under the government-subsidised Operational Programme Digital Poland.
Services are initially available in the regions of Wielkopolskie, Lubelskie and Mazowieckie, covering both cities and smaller towns. Pricing for a 1Gbps package starts at PLN75 (USD19) a month including maintenance fees on a 24-month contract.
