Huawei launches Seeds for the Future in Nepal

Huawei’s Seeds for the Future program is a part of Huawei’s Digital Talent Development Ecosystem which started back in 2008 in Thailand and has spanned across 130 countries and regions and has benefitted over 9000 students ever since. It all began as Huawei’s flagship CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program targeted towards undergraduate level students from all ICT-related disciplines.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has shackled us all to our homes and even though things are better now, the Seeds for the Future program which used to be an offline affair, has adapted to the new normal i.e. it is online.

Commencing its arrival in Nepal at a press meet held at Patan Dhoka, the company officially inaugurated the Seeds for the Future program in Nepal. As a result, this year 20 students will stand a chance to partake in this international program. These students will be chosen off on a competitive selection process. The selection committee members include pioneers of the Nepalese ICT department: Prof. Dr. Shashishar Ram Joshi, Prof. Dr. Subarna Shakya, and Prof. Timila Yami.
