Streaming platform InStat TV to launch in Poland

The sports streaming platform InStat TV will make its debut in Poland on September 24.

InStat TV is operated by InStat, which was founded in Russia in 2007 by the sports journalist Alexander Ivansky and currently offers its clients (clubs, federations, leagues, agencies and sportsmen) advanced statistical platforms and analytical reports in the field of basketball, football, futsal, ice hockey and handball, as well as live sports. In Poland, it will initially offer viewers coverage of basketball games from the women’s Energa Basket and men’s Suzuki 1 leagues, having obtained the rights to both competitions from the Polish Basketball Association for at least two seasons.

Commenting on the launch, Jacek Osadnik, InStat country manager, said: “After several months of negotiations and preparations, I can proudly announce that the sports streaming platform InStat TV will also be available in Poland. At the beginning, we start with basketball matches. We thank our partner, the Polish Basketball Association, for their trust”.

He added: “We are currently negotiating with several federations and leagues to add additional league games to InStat TV, so I believe that we will be able to announce more partnerships soon. We also invite other unions and leagues to cooperate. Our ambition is to bring together all leagues and sports not broadcast live by large TV and platforms in one place. Only this will guarantee the monetisation of this type of sports content, as the fragmentation of such matches on many websites is currently a big problem for many federations”.

InStat TV will be available on the website www.instat.tv, and soon also using a dedicated app on tablets, mobile phones and smart TVs. Access to matches will be sold as part of at least three types of packages: single match, club package and league package. Matches will be produced in two standards, using one or four cameras, with full graphics (score, playing time) and commentary. The global sports platform does not currently plan to launch linear sports channels. However, it does not exclude that in the future it will obtain an agreement to grant a sub-licence for some competitions.
