The company’s Employee Engagement Department has successfully concluded the 2021 edition of the Omantel Summer Kids Program, an initiative first launched in the year 2015 to encourage knowledge, experiential learning, and innovation among children of its employees. This year’s program was held in collaboration with Engineering Village, an Omani youth organization working to spread the culture of innovation and passion for scientific exploration through experiments and practical application of theories.
The Omantel Summer Kids Program also aims to increase engagement among employees, enhance interaction and build a culture of collective growth towards a better future led by an aware generation of young Omanis.
Its core aim is to help children utilise their summer break productively by providing them with an interactive, entertaining and educational experience. The program focuses on future skills like coding and design linked to the telecom industry and the ICT sector as a whole and introduces participants to industry-related terminology. It has activities for the entire family like recycling projects, building modules and interviews of participants’ family member.
