SoftBank Corp. said that it expects the coverage of its 5G large-capacity ultrafast mobile network to reach 80 pct of Japan's population by the end of October.
SoftBank will increase the number of its 5G base stations to 20,000 from 14,000. The company aims to raise the 5G coverage to 90 pct of the population by next spring.
