Telefonica Deutschland will begin marketing its O2 fixed line products of the cable network of Tele Columbus from 21 July. The pair signed a wholesale cooperation agreement allowing Telefonica long-term access to Tele Columbus’ cable and fibre networks, which reach 2.4 million homes in Germany, back in October 2019. Through the cooperation, Telefonica Deutschland will now be able to offer more than 26 million customers fixed broadband internet under its core O2 brand, at speeds of up to 1Gbps.

The choice between different product providers increases the attractiveness of Tele Columbus as a supply partner to the housing industry and activates additional potential for our broadband infrastructure,’ noted Daniel Ritz, CEO of Tele Columbus.
