Orange launches FTTH in Burkina Faso

Orange Burkina Faso has introduced fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) connectivity in selected parts of capital city Ouagadougou. According to the telco’s website, the network supports maximum download speeds of up to 100Mbps, with a monthly subscription priced at XOF49,000 (USD90.6). Any customers who sign up before 10 July are eligible for free installation and two month’s complementary service.

TeleGeography notes that Orange’s fibre launch comes hot on the heels of that of Group Vivendi Africa, which inaugurated FTTH services earlier this month.
