Coinciding with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day TDRA launches several Ramadan initiatives

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) launched a number of charitable Ramadan initiatives in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, and to embody the spirit and values of the holy month, in line with its social role as a leading government entity.

TDRA’s list of Ramadan initiatives included (Cold and Peace) initiative, which included the distribution of umbrellas that prevent sunlight, cold water, and face masks to workers and support groups. Among the initiatives is also (Your joy is on us) initiative, which included the distribution of gifts to the mothers of outstanding orphans. Moreover, TDRA launched the initiative (Be the Change in Ramadan), through which it called on employees to donate Iftar and Eid clothing, in addition to Zakat Al-Fitr.

Commenting on these initiatives, H.E. Mohammad Al Kitbi, Deputy Director General for Support Services Sector, said: “TDRA’s participation in Ramadan initiatives reflects its social responsibility and its keenness on the values of solidarity that have always characterized Emirati society. We are inspired by the generosity of our first and current leaders, which reached all parts of the world, making the UAE an example of charitable initiatives and alleviation of people’s suffering in various circumstances, regardless of nationalities, ethnicities and affiliations.”

TDRA’s initiatives included the (Human Flashes) initiative, which included circulating quotes of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, once or twice a week, in which he highlighted the importance of adhering to good morals such as love, solidarity, cooperation and good manners. TDRA also launched its Ramadan competition, in which it poses various cultural questions, to be answered by its employee in order to enter a draw for valuable prizes.

TDRA is keen to launch humanitarian and social initiatives every year, aimed at strengthening the bonds of love and solidarity and spreading the values of tolerance and giving, reflecting the moralities of the Emirati society, which is considered a global model for tolerance and humanity as more than 200 nationalities live in the UAE in harmony and coherence.
