The Polish public broadcaster TVP will launch a streaming platform on March 1.
Named TVP Historia 2, it will be available online at historia2.tvp.pl and via its hybrid platform. According to TVP, the aim of the new platform is to increase the reach and audience of TVP Historia, which the broadcaster says is currently the most popular thematic channel in Poland.
Commenting on the new service, Mateusz Matyszkowicz, a member of the management board at TVP, said: “We know how many history lovers there are in Poland, which is why we are increasing the channel’s reach and launching a special streaming platform where TVP Historia 2 will be available from March 1. Today, the internet is a place where many young people are waiting for an interesting offer. It is with them in mind that we are increasing the reach of TVP Historia. A few months ago, we have already increased the reach of TVP Kultura by creating a channel called TVP Kultura 2”.
