Portugal’s IPTV platform MEO has introduced expanded premium video storage and processing capabilities into its Mediaroom deployment.
The Altice-backed company is using MediaKind’s Video Storage and Processing Platform, that combines storage and delivery services, enabling MEO to deliver multiple OTT services to any device.
Other upgrades to the user experience involve enhancements such as nPVR, HD-level picture quality, and the introduction of premium apps, including Netflix and YouTube.

Regulator Anacom estimates MEO to be the leading pay-TV service by market share at 39.8%.
MEO has run its IPTV platform on Mediaroom for a decade.
