GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCQB:SWISF) has signed a distribution agreement in Kuwait for its Sekur and SekurSafe data solutions, it announced recently.
The agreement with IT distribution firm Digital Processing System, Kuwait (DPS KW) brings Toronto- and New York-based GlobeX’s secure communications platforms to the Middle Eastern country.
Meanwhile, the firm also told shareholders that it has kick-started a drive to sign more agreements in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. DPS KW has started introducing GlobeX to potential clients and distributing all of its solutions, according to the company.
GlobeX CEO Alain Ghiai hailed the deal to bring Sekur to Kuwait.
"The region has suffered tremendous amounts of cyber-attacks lately due to its geopolitical position in the globe and due to regional political tensions with Iran,” Ghiai said in a statement. “Whether you are an SME, an Enterprise or a government organization, you need protection from email cyber-attacks, and data theft. Our strength in using proprietary technology, Swiss privacy laws and no third-party platform such as AWS, MS cloud or Google cloud, puts us in a unique position to provide true privacy and security.”
Sekur’s solution suite includes secure email, secure file share and secure messaging. Data is hosted in Switzerland, home to some of the most stringent data protection laws worldwide.
