Slovak telecommunications operator RU has called on property owners to give telecom operators access to their infrastructure, in order to support broadband services. The statement was made amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
According to the watchdog, the Law on Telecommunications imposes an obligation to provide access. Furthermore, the lack of the access to necessary infrastructure could lead to a situation when residents cannot obtain important information about the pandemic due to low internet capacity or network failures.
