Chile’s state-controlled broadcaster CNTV has become the latest entity to roll out an OTT streaming service following operators Entel and WOM. According to local daily El Mercurio, the free app will be called ‘CNTV Play’ and will initially contain some 130 titles for adults and children alike, including “Los 80”, “Mary & Mike”, “El nino Rojo”, “El Reemplazante”, “Violeta”, “Con que suenas?”, “Hostal Morrison” and “Nano aventuras”, among other productions.
The web player is already available and contains sections including ‘Non-Fiction’, ‘Series’, ‘Kids’, ‘Documentaries’ and ‘Microprograms’. Entel launched its Android TV-based OTT service last month, while mobile operator WOM started trialling a beta version of its ‘WOM TV’ service on in May.
