In the much need of the hour, the Nepali Government has introduced digital wallet services to provide online remittance services amid the pandemic.
This initiative will help Nepalis working abroad to send remittances in an easy, secure, and affordable manner, without the need to reach a bank or remittance company to do so.
The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed the concerned remittance companies to start online services in association with the digital wallet operators.
Now, the Nepalis living abroad can use mobile banking, internet banking, electronic card, and digital wallet to send their earnings to their families in Nepal.
However, the NRB has introduced some provisions in addition to the previous conditions of the Remittance Regulations 2067 BS.
