Egypt’s Information Technology Institute (ITI) and Vodafone Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic partnership through the 'Begin' platform for freelance work that aims to create online job opportunities for young people.
The platform connects freelancers with the Egyptian labour market and small and medium-sized business owners, to facilitate transactions in a secure way to protect the rights of both sides. The two-year partnership targets developing young people’s skills and creating an enabling environment for rediscovering their capacities, motivating them to acquire the necessary experiences to have a better future, and providing freelance work opportunities for different youth groups.
Vodafone’s Begin platform will provide many programmes and training courses available on Mahara-Tech, in cooperation with ITI as the only provider of the training content. The platform, in addition, will participate in the Freelancing and Remote Work Initiative.
