The IrisGuard financial payment platform has announced the deployment of its EyePay Cash mobile platform enabling refugees in Egypt to receive their financial aid via iris identification, in partnership with Egypt National Post ENPO and UNHCR. IrisGuard can finds and authenticate one person out of millions, anywhere in the world, with 100 percent certainty in less than three seconds, without any form of ID.
The Egyptian National Post has an average of 20 million customers and a network of 4,000 branches nationwide. With the support of the EyePay, the majority of the refugee population benefiting from UNHCR assistance in Egypt can now receive their cash by having their irises scanned at certain ENPO branches. Tecords are verified with the UNHCR database to ensure that there is a match with their individual case number.
The IrisGuard EyePay Cash platform is being used by millions of people worldwide, including more than 2.5 million refugees and asylum-seekers benefitting from the multi-purpose cash assistance programme of UNHCR in different countries.
