Canal+ Netflix first in Poland

Canal+ and Netflix have begun to work together in Poland.

As a result, they are from Dovember 3 being offered together in a single package, in what is a first in the country, by the DTH platform Plaforma Canal+.

Commenting on the development, Edyta Sadowska, CEO and DG of Canal+ in Poland, said: “As announced, today we are connecting Netflix with the world of Canal +, creating for our subscribers the best and most complete offer of access to live and on-demand content on the Polish market. We are very pleased with this partnership, which strengthens us as the leading provider of premium content”.

Rene Rummel-Mergeryan, director of business development. Netflix, added: “Never before have Polish customers been able to easily access content from Canal + and Netflix together, on one platform, from one supplier and at such an attractive price. We are pleased that we have found a partner at Canal+ who, like us, always puts the interests and convenience of customers in first place”.

The Canal+/Netflix combined offer can be received in three packages. The most comprehensive is Superpremium 4K, which gives access to Netflix Premium (on four screen in 4K) for 12 months free of charge, as well as 180 TV channels, including 10 from Canal+, and the UltraBOX + decoder. The package costs PLN139.99 (€32.55) for the first 12 months, followed by PLN182.99 a month.

The other two packages – Comfort+ and Extra+ – include Netflix Standard free of charge for the first six months. For an additional PLN9 a month, customers will be able to change from Netflix Standard to Premium.

All packages come with a 24-month contract.
