Orange Jordan has announced the launch of Orange Money, which will be available to subscribers soon, as part of Orange's strategy for the Middle East and Africa. Board chairman Raslan Deiranieh said the company has signed a strategic agreement with Gate to Pay, under which the latter develops software and systems for Orange Money, to provide users channels for activating electronic wallets, issuing prepaid cards and transfering money.
The service will be available to customers once the development and technical support are concluded, in addition to obtaining the essential regulatory approvals. This will give subscribers a new mechanism to pay through their mobile phones easily and with high security, the company said.
