Vivo set to impact Sri Lanka’s phone market

With the technological advancements in terms of 5G technology, Vivo will play a key role in bringing down compatible devices to Sri Lanka. As the brand has made a strong presence in the country, it will take measures to further consolidate its position in the mobile device market, Channel Manager, Vivo Mobile Lanka, P. Gurubaran said.

“Innovation is the key. We consider customer satisfaction to be vital in driving business. Vivo entered the Sri Lankan market in 2017 and is among the top five brands in the country. Vivo will strive to establish innovative smartphone vision in the Sri Lankan market together with creativity and technology for unparalleled user experience,” he said.

“In Sri Lanka, vivo has been established since 2017, with its portfolio of next generation mobile devices, that are designed to serve the youth of the island nation. As such, though vivo is relatively a new entrant to the local smartphone market, we are decidedly positive on the potential of the Sri Lankan”, CEO for Vivo Sri Lanka, Kevin Jiang,said.

“Since the start of the business operations, vivo has launched a series of flagship smartphone models for mid and ‘high end’ segments. Our product ranges in Sri Lanka are Vivo Y series, Vivo V series and vivo S series. These mobile devices can be experienced at Vivo’s own state-of-the-art device experience zones. We have joined with Abans PLC as our National Distributor, along with Vivo’s island wide chain of retailers and dealers,” he said.

Jiang added, “In August 2019, vivo Sri Lanka introduced vivo S1to the Sri Lankan market, which featured 32MP AI Selfie Cam-era and AI Triple Rear Camera.

vivo V15Pro, the flagship model that was introduced in March 2019, housed a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) quad pixel sensor (effective 12MP), Notably, both the front and rear cameras of vivo V15Pro offered several AI-powered image enhancement features such as Bokeh Mode, Super Night Mode, and Face Beauty.”
