OTT first for Ukraine

Oll.TV has become the first licensed OTT service in Ukraine.

According to Mediasat, this follows a decision by the regulator National Council to issue the licence, combining it with the company’s existing IPTV licence into a single national licence.

Quoting the publication Medianyan, it adds that combining and renewing licences will cost the company UAH2,000 (€70.3).

The cost of an IPTV licence is UAH6 million, while an OTT licence costs UAH2 million.

Boris Danilov, the director of Oll.TV’s parent company Digital Screens, has urged all other responsible OTT players in Ukraine to also become licensed.
