Chinese consumer and industry tech giant Huawei announced its introduction of Huawei Care—a direct smartphone service division—across the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, making the country the first outside of mainland China to receive the company's smartphone services. Huawei Care is reported to provide "extra protection and longer-term services for its state-of-the-art products," according to the company's spokespeople.
A la AppleCare+, advantages of Huawei Care include the usage of original spare-parts during repair, the brand's assurance of a high standard service quality provided by authorised professional engineers, apart from the manufacturer warranty not being voided by repair.
The smartphone brand is said to offer two purchasable services in the UAE through Huawei Care—their extended warranty, which reportedly provides extra protection and longer-term services for its products, and their screen damage warranty, through which, within one year from the date of purchase, users will be provided free screen repair or replacement if the screen of the device is cracked due to accidental falling, compressing, and crashing.
"When customers purchase a Huawei product, they are acquiring an innovation-packed device with premium design, craftsmanship and intelligent technology. It is only natural they will seek to protect it from unforeseen accidents." said David Wang, UAE Country Manager at Huawei CBG.
He added, "We are happy to introduce Huawei Care in the UAE as the first overseas country, and this reflects our commitment to Huawei ongoing efforts to create a new level of customer service capability in the UAE, one that sees Huawei customers can access extended after sales care service as part of their Huawei product experience. Moreover, it enunciates our alignment with the UAE government agenda in terms of elevating customer satisfaction across different industries including smartphones."
Huawei Care services can be purchased when customers buy Huawei mobile phones—the latest development is said to take effect across all Huawei Experience Stores, Service Centers and e-commerce platforms in August.
