Vivacom provides unlimited internet access to Bulgarian scientists at the Antarctic base "Sv. Kliment Ohridski" as well as to Sofia University's Astronomy Department. This allows Bulgarian scientists at the Antarctic base to exchange data in real time and astronomers to remotely control their telescope and receive real-time data.
The service delivered to the Antarctic Base is provided through a direct connection via Vivacom's Plana satellite station that provides services via a SES satellite. It allows Bulgarian scientists at the Antarctic Base to exchange real-time data as well as use IP telephony, which will greatly improve the Antarctic base's processes.
