The multiplatform Beeline TV has been launched in Uzbekistan.
Quoting the press service of SPB TV Technologies, ComNews reports that it is the first OTT TV service in the country. It adds that it is being offered in partnership with the OTT service ivi.
Beeline TV’s operator Beeline Uzbekistan estimates there to be over 20 million internet users in the country. It is the market leader, claiming 9 million customers, most of whom use mobile internet.
Ivi already has similar partnerships in place in Belarus and Kazakhstan and plans to develop more in other parts of the CIS.
It has been present in Uzbekistan since 2015 and there are now a total of 450,000 subscribers to its and other OTT services in the country.
