Pakistan Post starts e-commerce service

Pakistan Post has started e-commerce service to facilitate business organizations in the country.

The service was inaugurated by Minister for Postal Services Murad Saeed in a ceremony in Islamabad on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that 120 institutions have been connected to this service and it will play a vital role of platform of E-commerce business.

He said Pakistan Post is also in contact with online business companies.

Murad Saeed said Pakistan Post will be turned into a public-friendly institution and is moving forward to become self-sufficient.

In December last year, Saeed inaugurated the Pakistan Post Mobile App for Services featuring Complaint handling, Real time track and trace, E-commerce Delivery, Parcel Collect, Complaints, Tariff, Post Office Locations, Post codes and Information about Postal Services.

In November 2018, the minister launched the Electronic Money Order (EMO) service for speedy transfer of funds.
