Cypriot incumbent telco Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta) has embarked on a fiber-optic deployment project, aiming to connect 180,000 premises throughout Cyprus.
The company said that 60% of the project should be completed within four years. The fibre-optic network will offer maximum download speeds of 1Gbps.
