DIGI CZ adds VoIP to product line-up

DIGI CZ, a Czech provider of satellite/internet TV, MVNO services (via sister company Lama Mobile) and broadband internet access, has extended its product suite with the addition of a range of VoIP telephony plans. DIGI CZ says the new IP plans offer a basic rate of CZK0.99 (USD0.045) per minute, while calls to other DIGInumbers are free. The basic DIGI Tel 30 plan includes 30 minutes of free calls to fixed and mobile networks in the Czech Republic for CZK29 per month. DIGI Tel 150 costs CZK99 and includes, 150 free minutes, while the premium DIGI Tel 3000 tariff is CZK299 a month for 50 hours of calls to fixed and mobile networks in the Republic. Once the user has exhausted their quota, the calling charge is the same for all tariffs at CZK0.99 per minute, and the cost of calls outside the European Union is, for example, CZK1.90/minute (e.g. Russia, Japan and China) and CZK4.90/minute (Turkey, Egypt or Vietnam).

Vladimir Rusnak, chief executive officer of DIGI CZ, said: ‘Our fixed phone uses VoIP technology to complement the Lama Mobile service. For customers, we have created a comprehensible and cost-effective offer in the form of three tariffs, each inclusive of a range of free minutes. We offer convenient calls around the world. Calls to countries of the European Union, but also for example in the US, Canada, Mexico or Israel, cost only a crown per minute … We also offer our customers high-end terminal equipment, and you can also make calls via your computer, smartphone, or tablet.’
