T-Mobile Austria has announced the launch of VoLTE technology in cooperation with Samsung. The firm says the benefits of the new service include faster call setup times, HD voice quality, an extended battery life and improved in-building reception. To access the technology, subscribers need to sign up to the free ‘Voice Boost’ service and also require a VoLTE-enabled smartphone.
In the first quarter of 2018 T-Mobile says it invested EUR32.1 million (USD37.6 million) in expanding the capacity of its mobile network, as well as in the nationwide migration of its base stations to SingleRAN to improve network performance.
