The Brazilian state of Sao Paulo now has Vivo 4G mobile coverage in all of its municipalities. The operator completed the 4G expansion in April, connecting the 43 missing municipalities to reach all 645 cities of Sao Paulo. In addition to Sao Paulo, the federal states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo already have Vivo's 4G network in all municipalities.
During the month, Vivo expanded the 4G network to 82 new municipalities throughout the country to reach coverage in 2,793 cities. In addition, the operator has continued implementing 4.5G connections, offering browsing speeds up to twice the speed of 4G. In April, 178 cities were connected with 4.5G, adding a total of 500 locations, including all state capitals.
