Vietnamese fixed and mobile operator VNPT-Vinaphone has revealed that it installed more than 24,000 2G, 3G and 4G base transceiver stations (BTS) last year, increasing its total across the country to approximately 80,000.
The total includes 15,000 4G base stations, providing coverage to parts of all provinces, while 3G services are available to over 99% of the country. VNPT-Vinaphone is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), itself owned by the government.
