Tele2 Lithuania, the country’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, has announced that coverage of its ‘4G++’ LTE-A network has reached 40% of the population.
The service, which offers maximum download speeds of 375Mbps, is available in large cities as well as smaller counties including Plunge, Palanga, Gargzdai and Ziezmariai. The Swedish-owned company revealed that it has also widened the footprint of its ‘4G+’ network, which supports data rates of up to 250Mbps and is now available to 86% of Lithuanians. Combined, Tele2 has installed 1,227 4G, 4G+ and 4G++ base stations, providing coverage to 99% of the country.
