3 Hong Kong and Huawei have announced the completion of 2100MHz band re-farming to enable the launch of an LTE-A network upgrade utilising carrier aggregation (CA) across five distinct licensed frequency bands later this month, namely the 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz and 2600MHz bands, as supported on the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ handsets.
Huawei and 3 also claimed the ‘4.5G 5CC CA’ launch as a first for Hong Kong.
