TELE Greenland expands VDSL services to 80% of population

TELE Greenland has expanded its VDSL-enabled broadband network capable of delivering maximum down/upload speeds of 30Mbps/2Mbps to 14 towns and settlements, equivalent to 80% of the Greenlandic population.

The service is now available in Aasiaat, Ilulissat, Kangaatsiaq, Kangerlussuaq, Maniitsoq, Narsaq, Nanortalik, Nuuk, Paamiut, Qaqortoq, Qasigiannguit, Qeqertarsuaq, Sisimiut and Uummannaq. The operator has also launched three new internet products – under the tusass brand – offering unlimited access with down/uplink of 2Mbps/1Mbps for DKK499 (USD78.8) per month, 10Mbps/2Mbps (DKK1,099) and 30Mbps/2Mbps (DKK1,199). Going forward, TELE plans to provide high-speed broadband services to 92% of the population by 2020.
