Pajhwok Afghan News has officially launched its Short Message Service (SMS) news service through Roshan telecom network.
More than 70 percent of Afghanistan’s populations have access to Roshan’s (Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd) network, which covers more than 287 districts, cities and towns in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
Pajhwok Afghan News officials expressed optimism that the SMS news service will keep the Afghan population informed about all major news and events taking place across the country and provide them with instant information on fuel cost, highway traffic and flights on their Roshan mobile phones.
For the time being, Pajhwok launched the SMS news service through Roshan’s network, while the news agency plans to expand this service through similar engagements with other telecommunication companies in the country.
