Entel Chile offers 300Mbps FTTH service in Santiago region

Chilean operator Entel has activated its new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service in several areas in the Santiago metropolitan region, including Vitacura, Providencia, Las Condes, Nunoa, La Reina, Maipu and San Miguel, reports La Tercera, citing the company’s consumer marketing manager Matias del Campo. The new double-play and triple-play packs include fibre-optic broadband at speeds of up to 300Mbps plus HD TV and advanced IPTV services.

A pack with 150Mbps broadband, 48 TV channels in HD and unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles costs CLP 44,990 a month for the first six months and CLP 50,990 a month thereafter, rising to CLP 58,990 for the 300Mbps service.

The company is currently rolling out the service all over Chile and targeting over 1 million fibre-connected homes within four years, added Del Campo.
