HBO Nordic (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland) is the first distribution platform lined up for Turner EMEA’s brand- new streaming service, Toonix. It will be available for consumers on HBO Nordic’s website at no additional fee and through distribution partners in the region.
Toonix is designed for three- to 12-year-olds and their families. New content will be programmed weekly from the Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation catalogs, including The Amazing World of Gumball, LEGO Ninjago, Looney Tunes, The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10 and more. The new service will also be local favorites like Pippi Longstocking, Bamse, Rasmus Klump and The Moomins, as well as tween-skewing live-action series like Dance Academy and family films including Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.
At launch, the ad-free OTT service will house more than 2,000 episodes of TV and movies that are fully localized in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish.
