LTE data traffic volume doubled year-on-year on the network of Russian mobile operator Megafon in the Sakhalin region, reports Cnews.ru. The increase was caused by the expansion of the LTE network, as well as higher penetration of LTE devices.
Some 70 percent of the region's population are covered by the LTE network of Megafon. LTE services are available in the cities and towns of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Aniva, Korsakov, Nevelsk, Kholmsk, Dolinsk, Makarov, Pornaysk and Okha.
