Phynx provides first gigabit fiber in Mexico

Phynx began construction on the high speed fiber optic network in December 2016 and connected its first customers with fiber Internet service within six months. The customers who signed up were a part of the first fiberhood that was available for signup and were able to choose from several speed packages, including a one Gigabit service.

″We are excited to serve the Mexico, Missouri, area with a powerful Internet offering at extremely affordable rates. The response from the community has been tremendous; we have been receiving a steady stream of requests for service throughout the area. We’re proud to be part of the Mexico community and look forward to serving its residents and businesses with the best communications services available.” said Caleb Pashia, Director of Operations in a news release.

In addition to connecting its first customers with gigabit fiber service, Phynx is also announcing two more fiberhoods, which includes homes in the northwest and southwest parts of Mexico. Residents who are interested in signing up for service can use the interactive map at getmexicofiber.com/mexico-map and check to see if their home is eligible for service.

″With this service, Mexico will be among an elite few cities in Missouri who can claim Internet connectivity at speeds as fast as anywhere in the world,” said Pashia. “Although we like to stay on the cutting edge with technology, our commitment remains simple: no contracts, no complex pricing, no data caps. We are dedicated to offering this service the way that we would want to receive it as residents of this community.”

Phynx Fiber is a part of Kingdom Telephone Company. Kingdom was established is 1954 to provide voice services to rural Callaway County. Kingdom has been providing Internet services since the mid 90′s and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) since 2010.
