Third largest Vietnamese broadband operator by subscribers, FPT Telecom has launched a new 1Gbps internet service package for customers, which the company claims to be the fastest speed on offer in the country. FPT Telecom will utilise its existing fibre network to deliver the 1Gbps service, allowing users to access the internet at speeds 100 times faster than the average in Vietnam. The service will officially become available on 1 May 2017 in the capital Hanoi, along with Ho Chi Minh City.
