Portugal Telecom is continuing with the expansion of its fibre-optic network and covered an additional 31,000 households. The new coverage is in Macedo de Cavaleiros (7,000 homes) in the district of Braganca; Sao Joao da Madeira (13,000) in the district of Aveiro; and Abrantes (11,000) in the district of Santarem.
Residents have access to better image quality with HD content, an unlimited number of TVs with no need for set-top boxes and internet with guaranteed bandwidth as a result.
