Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission’s telecom committee has approved TOT’s management plan for the 60 megahertz it holds in the 2.3 GHz spectrum, The Nation reports, citing NBTC secretary-general Takorn Tantasith. TOT has been seeking a partner for the launch of 4G mobile services on this band. 13 companies have acquired the terms of reference, and plan to bid for TOT’s partnership offer.
Interested bidders include Advanced Wireless Network, a subsidiary of Advanced Info Service (AIS); DTAC TriNet, a subsidiary of Total Access Communication; and TrueMove H Universal Communication and Real Move, both part of the True Corp group.
