Orange Spain has announced an agreement to bring fibre-optic services to the northern town of Arcos de la Frontera in Andalucia. The operator said it will spend EUR 1.3 million to connect some 8,100 premises, equivalent to around 75 percent of local homes and businesses by the end of next year. Orange has already spent around EUR 600,000 to extend its 4G network to 97 percent of the town's population.
