Mobile app launched to ease access to land registration

A new mobile app, 'Land and Registry Service', has been introduced in Kurigram district, aiming to give relief to people from the complications in land buying and selling, and registration.

Sub-registrar of Bhurungamari in Kurigram Md Shahjahan Ali made this useful app during a training programme held under a project of Access to Information (A2i). And now the app is being used in other sub-registry offices, too, reports UNB.

The app can provide important information about formats of documents, document registration process, registration cost and many more as such. Information about marriage registry and divorce can also be found here.

Those who had to seek help from brokers or deed writers are now getting their information easily sitting at their home.

A user of this app, Jaynal Abedin from Manik Kaji village of Bhurungamari, said he came to register his land at the registrar office after knowing all the related information from the app.

Now they do not have to approach anyone or be deceived anymore in the registrar office, he added.

Deputy Commissioner of the district Md Nurul Amin said A2i is working on the app to ease people's access to information on land registration, and hoped to deliver this app service to all the people as soon as possible.

This app is available in Bangla for all android mobile phone users. Land buyers and sellers now can download the app from Playstore for free of cost and get access to all necessary information on lands.
