ARRIS has been selected to provide set-top boxes (STBs) to deliver digital video recording (DVR) and on-demand content for Omantel’s Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) service.
The ARRIS VIP2262v2 DVR STBs will provide subscribers to the Omantel TV+ service with access to more than 450 TV channels, as well as features such as pausing and rewinding live TV.

Omantel announced the launch of its IPTV service, which utilises the operating platform of UAE telco du, in October 2015.
