Etisalat today announced a special summer roaming offer for all its postpaid and prepaid consumers including businesses, increasing the data allowance of its weekly data roaming pack from 1GB to 2GB for the same price of AED200. The new promotion makes Etisalat’s competitively priced packages even more attractive, ensuring hassle-free travel without high mobile data costs.
This special limited offer is valid until 31st August 2015. Customers who activate the Weekly 1GB pack in this time will automatically receive the bonus 1GB free data allowance upon making their first internet access abroad. All users will continue to enjoy roaming benefits, offered on the country’s largest preferred data roaming network of 249 operators in 106 countries.
Customers can subscribe to the new double data promotion by dialing *177# (for free) from the UAE or abroad, sending an SMS ‘WEEK1GB’ to 1010, or visiting any of their nearest Etisalat Business Centers or outlets. Alternatively, customers can download Etisalat’s mobile app - Etisalat UAE – for free and subscribe to the promotion. Customers can repurchase the data roaming pack upon consumption or expiry of the old pack.
Upon arriving at their travel destination, customers will also be notified about availability of preferred partner(s) through a welcome SMS. To help customers keep control of their data roaming usage and charges, Etisalat also offers a range of other customisable services, including out-of-bundle caps and SMS notifications.
