Swisscom and Verizon have extended a partnership that allows their respective enterprise customers to access network services overseas.
The partnership allows Swisscom business customers with multinational operations to gain access to Verizon’s global network, while Verizon customers with operations in the Swiss market are likewise able to benefit from Swisscom's local infrastructure and services.
According to the companies, this includes voice and data services, integrated networks, convergent services, security, and “comprehensive” customer services.
The partnership, first signed in 2008, has been extended for another three years.
Swisscom and Verizon are also extending the range of services available to enterprise customers, which now includes managed local area network (LAN) and wireless LAN solutions, business Wi-Fi, managed wide area network optimisation and Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect.

The companies said they are also working together with a view to deliver next-generation technologies such as software defined networking and hybrid networks to enterprise customers.
