A delegation from UAE Ministry of Economy, several other government authorities, and representatives from the UAE’s trading sector have visited the global headquarters of Huawei—a leading global ICT solutions provider—this week in Shenzhen, China. The visit was organized by the UAE Ministry of Economy and headed by Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade Affairs, UAE Ministry of Economy.
David Wang, President of Huawei Global Government Affairs Department, received the UAE delegation and accompanied them in visiting the headquarters’ exhibition hall wherein the delegation got the chance to explore the very latest Huawei innovations within the field of information and communications technologies.
“I have shared with Huawei information on the UAE economy and investment climate so that the firm has more of a role to play in policies that support diversifying the UAE economy through its specialization,” says Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade Affairs, UAE Ministry of Economy. “Today’s ICT are based on smart services, and by going through the profile of Huawei it has proven that this firm is smart in all senses and by all means and standards. I also found that Huawei does not stop at just the business edge, but tops this by sharing corporate social responsibilities wherever the company is located. This is admirable and I thank Huawei for keeping this up.”
The UAE delegation have discussed with Huawei future deployment of its latest technology solutions in line with the UAE’s own ICT development strategy aimed at supporting UAE’s economic transformation to a knowledge-based economy.
